As you all know, I’m a big fan of the work of Brené Brown and when I saw her blog post, the perfect protest, I knew I wanted to participate in the movement. I love the idea of shedding our “perfection shield” and replacing it with posters of empowerment.
I asked my students to participate and they joined in readily. Any time I give them a break from creating our yearbook and newspaper to pick up some markers and poster board, they are very enthusiastic.
