Productive Day

AJH was 3 months old yesterday and here she is this morning doing some of her favorite things: rolling on her side (but not all the way to her tummy), sucking on her fingers (or whole hand if she can fit it), and listening to music (especially Jewel).
Today AJH got to visit with her Granny Sally and Daddy while I got a massage. I think I strained a muscle in my back so I used my Christmas gift card for Breezy Hill Day Spa from Sally and enjoyed a fabulous thirty minute massage from Megan. The whole time I was wondering if people ever ask for more at the end. “Ooops, I’m sorry, I meant to say HOUR massage, not half an hour.” I didn’t have the courage to ask for more, though I think I would’ve paid any amount of money if she offered another thirty minutes.
After that I ran to my favorite place on earth, T.J. Maxx, and got a few Father’s Day gifts and this adorable pair of shoes for AJH. For only $3 on clearance, how could I resist?! They’re going to look just perfect with her red, white, and blue 4th of July outfit. She has the red, patchwork dress below, from Walmart for only $5!!
Then I was off to Walmart again for some ferns for the porch and white begonias for the front wall. I have found that begonias are the only flower that can withstand the sun in that spot, and they will last the entire summer and into the fall without much attention from me at all; perfect! I also picked up cilantro and basil plants–my two favorite herbs. I hope to keep them alive so I can enjoy them all summer as well.
Last stop was Lowes for the AWESOME green paint for our front door. I took my inspiration into the store (the cushion below) and they were able to match it perfectly. I can’t wait to see how it turns out and will hopefully post pictures tomorrow.
Hope your Thursday was equally productive. Happy Friday and Happy weekend!
